The census of 2011 estimates that over 360 million people live below poverty line standards. In this era of technological revolution, a sustainable livelihood is still the primary need for rural mass in India. Our National growth is hampered by poor performance of agriculture sector, on which a big part of rural population depends.

Promotion of Organic Farming

Atma Vani promotes eco-friendly organic farming to conserve soil fertility, water and bio diversity, strengthen livelihood capabilities of farmers and reduce dependence on harmful pesticides and chemical residues. The project which is operational in five villages of Kanpur Nagar & Kanpur Dehat, benefitted 150 farmers and improved the lives of more than 800 people.

Women empowerment

Atma Vani has continuously been helping Women Lead Self Help Groups (SHGs) in rural areas and semi urban areas to empower women. We not only give women the awareness and ethics to work but also give wings to them to rise, soar and fly.
